Heavy Equipment Operator with NCCER Core
Course Description: The Heavy Equipment Operator course is a 3-week entry-level instructional program that prepares individuals to apply technical knowledge and skills to operate and maintain a variety of heavy equipment including utility tractors, earth-moving equipment, and basic forklift operations. This introductory course includes equipment safety, identification of equipment needed for the job, basic maintenance and operational skills and an introduction in digging, trenching, grubbing, and basic earth moving excerises.
Also included in this class is an introductory course into construction basics. Class topics include, but are not limited to, proper tool handling & knowledge, employment education blueprint understanding, safety practices, and communications skills.
Upon successful completion of the course, students will have earned Certificates of Completion in Construction Core and Level 1 Heavy Equipment Operations from the accrediting body of The National Center of Construction Education and Research (NCCER).
Scholarships/Grants may be available to cover the full tuition amount.
