Bastrop, LA – ɫtv (LDCC) is inviting the community to its Summer Safety event on Friday, July 11, at the LDCC Simulation Center in Bastrop, located at 729 Colliers Lane. This free, family-focused event will provide essential safety training to help residents prepare for emergencies and protect their loved ones.
Sessions begin with check-in at 8:00 AM, and classes will officially start at 9:00 AM. Training will include car seat safety checks, stop-the-bleed techniques, CPR, first aid, and additional topics. Participants will learn practical, hands-on skills from qualified professionals in a healthcare environment designed to provide realistic, practical learning experiences.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for families, caregivers, and community members to gain the knowledge and confidence they need to act quickly in emergencies,” said Bastrop Campus Director Antonio Hearn. “Whether you’re a parent wanting to ensure your child’s car seat is properly installed or someone who wants to learn how to save a life with CPR, this event has something for everyone.”
